$120K - $150K Full-time View Full Job Share Job Position Overview The firm is seeking a Portfolio Associate to join their dynamic team. This role is essential in supporting portfolio companies, tracking performance metrics, and ensuring seamless communication between founders, investors, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Portfolio Management: Maintain ongoing relationships with portfolio companies, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess company health and growth trajectory. Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, analyze, and present data on portfolio company performance, market trends, and fund performance to internal stakeholders and investors. Founder Support: Act as a liaison between the firm and portfolio companies, ensuring founders receive the necessary resources, guidance, and connections to scale effectively. Investment Monitoring: Track and assess portfolio company milestones, investment rounds, and financial performance, providing insights to the investment team. Market Research: Conduct industry and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities that can benefit portfolio companies. Stakeholder Communication: Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for internal partners, limited partners (LPs), and other stakeholders. Process Improvement: Develop and implement best practices for portfolio management, data tracking, and internal workflows. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus. Experience: 5-10 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or related field. Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation methods, and key performance metrics for early- and growth-stage companies. Analytical Skills: Ability to collect, interpret, and present data effectively to drive insights and strategic recommendations. Communication & Relationship Management: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with founders, investors, and internal teams. Problem-Solving: Proactive and resourceful mindset, with the ability to navigate complex challenges faced by portfolio companies. Project Management: Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, CRM tools, and data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus. Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with venture capital investment cycles, startup ecosystems, and emerging market trends.
