Job Summary: Wentworth by the Sea is seeking a dedicated and service-oriented
Pool Supervisor (Seasonal) to oversee all aspects of pool operations during the summer season. This leadership role is responsible for supervising contract and in-house staff, ensuring a consistently high-quality guest experience at our pools, and maintaining safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency at all times. This individual will play a key role in elevating service standards while managing the day-to-day execution of tasks and staff performance.
Key Responsibilities: - Oversee all aspects of pool operations, including direct supervision of Pool Attendants and active coordination with Food & Beverage and Banquet teams to ensure seamless guest service.
- Conduct daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring pools, marinas, walkways, lawns, and surrounding areas are clean, well-stocked, and guest-ready.
- Serve as the main point of contact for pool guests, responding promptly and professionally to inquiries, concerns, and special requests.
- Train, coach, and provide ongoing support to pool staff in both service standards and operational procedures, including HotSOS and safety protocols.
- Maintain safety and security of all pool areas, ensuring guests are following usage guidelines and resort rules.
- Assist with towel replenishment, poolside service, and occasional light food & beverage support when needed to maintain flow and guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with housekeeping for towel supply and cleanliness of pool restrooms.
- Monitor the condition and functionality of all pool-related equipment and amenities; report or resolve issues promptly.
- Manage communication and task tracking using HotSOS and other resort systems, ensuring accurate guest information and staff assignments.
- Support property-wide priorities, especially during high-occupancy periods, and collaborate closely with leadership to ensure seamless guest service.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a hospitality, recreation, or supervisory role preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification is not required, but strongly preferred in an ideal candidate.
- Basic understanding of pool operations, safety standards, and guest service best practices.
- Experience using HotSOS or similar systems is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Able to work in outdoor conditions for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Physical Demands & Work Environment: - Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift throughout an entire shift.
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Work schedule includes weekends and holidays.
