SUMMARY
Efficiently takes orders, serves food and beverages, clears tables, handles checks, and consistently delivers exceptional service to members, resort guests, and colleagues at the poolside.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Welcome and seat guests, providing menus and beverage options.
Foster a friendly and inviting environment for guests and team members alike.
Knowledgeably answer inquiries about menu items and beverages, offering recommendations.
Inform guests of daily specials.
Take accurate food and beverage orders, verifying age for alcohol consumption.
Enter orders promptly and accurately into the POS system.
Serve food and beverages promptly, including specialty items.
Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in and addressing any concerns.
Maintain table cleanliness, pre-bussing, and replenishing supplies.
Present and process checks efficiently.
Clear tables and manage dishware in an orderly manner.
Handle payment transactions, whether by check or credit card.
Provide attentive service until guests depart, bidding them a warm farewell.
Uphold the high standards of service and cuisine set by Juniper Preserve.
Represent Juniper Preserve and the Food & Beverage Department positively at all times.
Follow protocols for responsible alcohol service.
Assist in setting up dining areas for various events.
Complete assigned side work duties as directed by the F&B Assistant Manager.
Attend training sessions and department meetings as required.
Keep supervisors informed of any issues and suggest solutions.
Foster positive relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
Perform duties in accordance with company policies and objectives.
Ensure proper training for new employees and ongoing development.
Manage multiple tasks effectively.
Adhere to safety protocols.
Maintain professional conduct and appearance.
Support company values and guest service philosophy.
Maintain a positive attitude and flexibility in task assignments.
Support Food & Beverage teams by providing assistance in various areas as needed to ensure smooth operations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Able to pass a drug test and pre-employment criminal background check.
Must be 21 years of age.
Must be dressed neatly and well groomed in company approved uniform at all times.
Must be able to operate P.O.S. computer, make change correctly and make credit card transactions accurately.
Must be able to safely operate and drive beverage carts.
Must be able to deliver plated food, clear tables and assist in banquet set up, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to calmly respond to angry guests and notify a manager.
Must be able to read and write notes to hearing impaired guests.
Stands, walks and sits during the entire shift.
Must be able to pass server validation.
Reaches, bends, stoops and wipes.
Basic cooking principles; grilling items, composing plates and applying condiments.
Must be able to verbalize menu items clearly to guests while taking their orders or responding to their requests.
Must be able to hear well amongst loud background noise.
Must be able to write or memorize orders.
Must balance at the end of each shift.
Must be able to effectively card all guests who appear under the age of 30 for alcohol purchases and under the age of 25 for tobacco purchases.

SKILLS
Required
High School Diploma Preferred and/or 1-2 years of bartending and customer service experience

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must maintain current Food Handler Card and OLCC Service Permit.
