The pool café Cook is responsible for the daily preparation of food items according to recipes and standards. Ensures freshness of food and ingredients by checking quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock. It is also the responsibility of the pool café cook to maintain a clean and safe environment at all times adhering to all MN health and safety codes.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
• Experience working in a kitchen as a cook in a fast food or restaurant environment.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Preferred Education and Experience
• State of MN Certified Food Manager.
Essential Job Functions:
• Responsible for preparing and/or directing the preparation of food to be served.
• Responsible for appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste, and fraud.
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications.
• Re-stock all items as needed.
• Ensure availability of supplies and approved substitutions in adequate time for preparation.
• Store food properly and safely; marking date and item.
• Report necessary equipment repairs and maintenance.
• Keep work area neat and clean at all times; clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation.
• Complete temperature checks before service.

Physical Demands: • Walking and/or standing for extended periods of time.
• Lift and carry racks or stacks of dishes, glassware, and other utensils weighing up to 30 lbs.
• Substantial repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, and climbing stairs and step stool,
• Frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood, and produce items.
• Frequent washing of hands.
Work Environment: • Hazards include, but are not limited to, cuts from knives, broken glass and metal cans, burns, slipping and tripping.
• Cleaning chemical exposure.
• Exposure to heat, cold, and humidity.
• Elevated noise levels.
Compensation & Benefits: • Base hourly earnings of $18-$20 per hour DOE
• Uniform provided.

• Use of Woodhill's exceptional facilities (golf course, pool, tennis courts) on Mondays.
