POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Closely supervised training in the operation of polysomnography equipment to record polysomnograms and multiple sleep latency tests. At the completion of training, must be able to perform polysomnograms independently, recognize various sleep disorders including sleep apnea and periodic leg movements, initiate continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) when indicated, titrate CPAP appropriately and provide for proper care and operation of equipment used.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school graduation or equivalent is required. One year of recent experience in a hospital setting preferred.
LICENSURE
Must maintain current CPR certification.
