ABOUT THE TEAM: Anduril's Maritime Division is responsible for planning and executing Anduril's product and revenue roadmap for maritime missions. Working across product, engineering, business development, logistics, and operations, the Maritime team develops, tests, deploys, and sustains the Anduril maritime capabilities in a challenging operational environment worldwide. ABOUT THE JOB: You will work closely across Anduril's team of maritime and naval engineers and lead efforts to integrate policy considerations into our engineering processes, ensuring our innovative technologies align with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards in the defense sector. Your spectrum of support will be diverse in nature and require you to leverage your technical expertise as well as leadership skills to set objectives, build cross-functional teams, and rapidly drive to completion. The ability to leverage your intuition and prior experience will play a key component in making sure the right design/analysis/ and test steps are being completed to ensure success. The ideal candidate will leverage their experience executing and successfully completing prior highly optimized multi-disciplinary projects. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Develop and implement strategies that reinforce the relationship between external regulatory bodies and Anduril while ensuring that Anduril adheres to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards Collaborate between external regulatory bodies and other stakeholders and Anduril engineering in the interpretation of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards and how those impact the development, manufacturing, and deployment of a maritime autonomous weapon system Evaluate the risks associated with Anduril's ability to adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards Develop and maintain metrics that quantify the risks identified and work with Anduril engineering to identify methods to mitigate those risks Liaise with legal, government relations, and compliance teams to stay current on regulatory changes and their impact on our engineering practices and work with advocacy groups on policy initiatives Investigate and resolve policy-related issues involving maritime projects Assist the Program Manager and other program leadership in understanding and addressing policy risks and issues within the program Contribute to the development of industry best practices for policy integration in defense technology engineering REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field, or proven experience in a relevant field 5+ years of experience in engineering roles within the defense, maritime, or aerospace industry Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance Travel 25% to Customer and Test Sites PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated understanding of multi-domain unmanned and autonomous weapon system development and employment Demonstrated engineering management capability; proven technical and personnel leadership qualities Familiarity with government requirements and contracting processes as well as relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to the maritime industry Experience working on mission critical DOD systems Experience in policy development and implementation in a technical environment Preferred candidate is based out of Washington, DC US Salary Range $150,000 - $225,000 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
