YOUR ROLE As the Point of Sale Solutions Architect, you will leverage your diverse skills to tackle pivotal business and technology challenges associated with our Point of Sale (POS) systems. You will play a critical role in the architectural development and implementation of POS applications, aligning them with our organizational goals.
- Establish and implement the architectural principles that will shape Cracker Barrel's future POS solutions.
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Architect to enhance and maintain our Enterprise Architecture.
- Work alongside Store Technology and Menu teams to optimize the performance of our POS systems.
- Team up with Software Engineering to integrate POS with corporate systems and innovate new processes.
- Continuously research and evaluate cutting-edge analysis methods to modernize our strategies.
- Serve as the go-to expert on POS architecture, especially regarding its integration with cloud and on-premise systems.
- Ensure alignment of business initiatives with POS architecture while maintaining compliance with our standards.
- Advise leadership on strategies for effective information integration.
QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 10+ years of experience in application development or architectural design.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with Point of Sale systems, particularly cloud-based solutions.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations and POS workflows.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in project management and prioritization.
- Experience with various store and technology systems, including Kitchen Display Systems, Payment Systems, and Online Ordering platforms.
- Familiarity with retail systems and integrations with backend inventory and accounting systems.
- Proficient in modern API management and integration platforms, particularly Mulesoft.
- Experience with loyalty programs and enterprise payment platforms.
