About the Opportunity We are looking for a Plumbing Systems Design Specialist to join a dynamic and innovative MEP engineering firm in Miami, FL. This full-time, on-site role offers a compelling opportunity for a talented designer to work on high-profile commercial and residential developments.
As a core member of the engineering team, you'll lead the creation of sustainable, code-compliant plumbing solutions from concept to construction. If you're a detail-driven Revit expert who thrives in fast-paced environments, we want to hear from you.
Your Role
Revit-Centric Design: Deliver fully coordinated plumbing system designs using Revit, adhering to current codes and project specifications.
Project Integration: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to align plumbing systems with the broader building design.
Code Compliance: Ensure all designs meet state, local, and national plumbing regulations and standards.
Sustainable Solutions: Incorporate green technologies-low-flow fixtures, rainwater harvesting, and greywater systems-to meet environmental performance goals.
Technical Documentation: Develop system layouts, technical specifications, and installation-ready documentation.
Construction Support: Troubleshoot field issues and respond to RFIs during project execution.
Design Quality: Participate in quality control reviews to ensure accuracy and functionality in all deliverables.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Systems, or related discipline (preferred)
Minimum 5 years of plumbing design experience using Revit (required)
In-depth knowledge of plumbing codes and standards (IPC, UPC, ASPE)
Strong documentation and project coordination skills
Proven problem-solving and multitasking capabilities
Familiarity with LEED principles and sustainable plumbing design (a plus)
Team-oriented attitude with excellent communication and organizational skills
