Job Summary The Lead Technician provides direction and leadership to departments as well as expertise in the areas of evaluation, installation, inspection, calibration and repair of equipment or utility. May be asked to monitor work orders and distribute to Facilities Management team. Essential Functions + Performs duties in primary job description of department(s). + Provides redundancy coverage for the Department. The expectation is the leader will keep department operational during supervisor's absence. + Coordinates, motivates and schedules work for department. Work order prioritization and assignment of tasks to technicians. Manages the daily operations for scheduled and corrective maintenance work orders. Handles work flow conflicts. Has strong working knowledge of CMMS system. Assuring work order information accuracy on the CMMS for asset management. Assuring complete, accurate work order data entry by technicians. + Ensures all repair and maintenance documentation conforms to Joint Commission standards. + Provides feedback to Supervisor. Provides input to the service section supervisor to perform employee evaluations. Assists employees with completing individual development objectives. As well as department goals. Is involved with employee performance evaluations and hiring on new employees. + Models the behaviors embodied in our Mission and Values. Takes responsibility for constructively confronting and resolving problems. Participates in open communication and teamwork activities. Delivers on commitments in a high quality and timely fashion. Demonstrates pride in the organization. + Demonstrates teamwork and other values as a member of the Corewell Health management team. Qualifications Required + Demonstrates knowledge and experience in the use of the various power tools used in performance of maintenance duties. + LIC-Driver's License - STATE MI State of Michigan Preferred + Licensed Plumber + High School Diploma + Completion of a vocational/trade program + 5 years of relevant experience in facilities maintenance, healthcare.
