About the role

You will be part of the Control & Instrumentation engineering team, responsible for delivering control system and PLC modifications and upgrades. This includes managing plant improvement projects and providing high-quality, cost-effective solutions.

Your responsibilities also include maintaining and enhancing existing control systems and PLCs, implementing the latest security measures against cyber-attacks. This role will challenge your technical, problem-solving, and communication skills and contribute to delivering flexible, renewable energy at Drax Power Station.

This position offers an opportunity to develop into a subject matter expert in cybersecurity improvements aligned with the latest NIS regulations and IEC62443 standards.

Who we're looking for
  • Minimum HND in Control & Instrumentation, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or Software Engineering.
  • Previous PLC programming experience in a technical role.
  • Experience with configuring and programming Schneider PLCs is desirable.
  • Knowledge of NIS regulation and IEC62443 standards is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering critical projects.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills across all levels.
  • A commitment to safety, environmental standards, and high housekeeping standards.
