Platform Systems Engineer

THIS POSITION INCLUDES A $5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS. Responsibilities A Week in the Life of an on-site Platform Systems Engineer, Assoc. Principal: Write, rewrite and/or edit material for reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications.
Impart a wide range of knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts in technical fields and related disciplines gained through wide exposure to weapons systems operations and/or test and evaluation processes and procedures.
Confer with authors and subject matter experts to recommend edits to technical documentation to include review of content for completeness, accuracy and correctness of language use.
Verify facts, dates, and statistics, using standard reference sources. Qualifications Active Top Secret w/SCI eligibility.
Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience serving as a Platform Engineer.(Additional experience will be considered in lieu of degree).
Current CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification.
Expertise in designing/maintaining secure, scalable architectures (cloud/on-prem, IL5-IL6+ domains).
Proficiency in enterprise platforms, virtualization, automation, and cloud services.
2+ years administering Linux (RHEL): users, permissions, networking, storage, monitoring, package management, shell scripting.
Knowledge of Windows Systems, EMC SANs, and VMware.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting in classified environments.
