What are the top 3 skills required for this role?
1. Considerable hands-on experience with JAVA server-side technology and J2EE App server preferably WebSphere
2. Strong working knowledge of UNIX / LINUX commands, shell scripting and database queries (e.g. for troubleshooting as well as data patching)
3. Strong knowledge of relational database (DB2 preferred)

Job Description/ Responsibilities

• Serve as SME on functional and technical aspects of the Payments platform

• Engage with technical teams at our client banks, E-Wallets and payment networks to develop technical solution design for integration projects

• Develop technical specifications for software vendor in development of new functions and features

• Coordinate the deployment of software on TCH internal infrastructure; configure the software per project requirements

• Liaise with Quality Assurance to ensure quality of software deliverables

• Provide Level 3 support
o Assist support teams in troubleshooting production issues and engage/escalate to vendor as necessary

• Develop implementation/roll-out strategy for new releases

• Occasionally design and develop ad-hoc shell scripts, database patches, reports, etc. (large scale in-house software development is not anticipated)

• Assist Project Management in assessing project sizing and timelines

• Triage, troubleshoot and resolve escalated production issues on a complex mission critical application

• Perform root cause analysis of issues

• Responsible for analyzing systems/processes and recommending changes to improve processing efficiency

• Develop run-books for recurring issues, system implementation, shutdown and recovery

• Support release implementation, infrastructure upgrades, maintenance and disaster recovery testing

Total Team size is 9 for NOC Support. This role is SME kind of role within the team (level 3).

Overall relevant experience should be more than 9 years

Candidate should be ready to work in night shift & weekends or be prepared to provide on-call support as needed.

The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on experience with supporting high availability, distributed online transaction processing applications using JAVA/JEE, WebSphere, Linux, REST/JSON, Web Api(s), DB2 (or other Relational Databases)

Prior experience working with Payment networks (Visa, Client, Client), commercial or retail banking with emphasis on Digital Channels, Tokenization techniques, implementation of RTP at a financial institution or third-party service provider is desirable.
