Platform Infrastructure Engineer with Security Clearance

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Platform Infrastructure Engineer to join a Federal Program located in Annapolis Junction, MD . The Platform Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for the deployment and maintenance of several platforms supporting multiple applications. Responsibilities of the Platform Infrastructure Engineer include: Monitor and enhance system performance, implementing corrective measures on existing platforms. Manage and maintain application integration using current networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls). Conduct regular cybersecurity vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. Develop and maintain security incident response plans and procedures. Create and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline platform deployments, provisioning, and management tasks. Deploy and manage machines using VMware, vCenter, Kickstart, Puppet, Foreman, and CIS-CAT. Configure and manage host-based security systems. Utilize DevOps methodologies and tools, supporting Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within RHEL containers. Employ monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, IBM NetCool, and Solarwinds. Patch and manage systems using Red Hat Satellite Server. Provide hardware support for servers and workstations. Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS and Azure to manage, secure, and maintain the environment/platform infrastructure is a bonus, but not required. Qualifications for the Platform Infrastructure Engineer include: 7+ years of experience in related field 4+ years of experience working with OpenShift Must have Secret Clearance Participation in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency page-outs is required Must be able to commute to the facility in Annapolis Junction, MD Compensation for the Platform Infrastructure Engineer includes: Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 depending on experience Comprehensive Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays This job opens for applications on 4/14/2025.
