Who We Want We're looking for a Platform Engineer Intern to join our team and gain practical, hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps best practices. This role is ideal for a student eager to explore the DevOps field while contributing to real-world projects in a supportive environment.
What To Expect As a Platform Engineer Intern, you'll support the Platform and Engineering teams in maintaining and improving cloud-based systems and pipelines. You'll receive mentorship and opportunities to explore a variety of tools and processes critical to modern DevOps workflows.
- Assist in provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS) under the supervision of experienced engineers
- Learn and help implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and AWS CloudFormation
- Contribute to building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Bitbucket Pipelines and Azure DevOps
- Support the team in monitoring, alerting, and documenting system health and reliability practices
- Help improve infrastructure and deployment documentation for better knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with software engineers and DevOps professionals to understand and assist with day-to-day platform engineering tasks
- Participate in troubleshooting and support efforts to maintain uptime and system reliability.
What You Need- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- Exposure to programming or scripting languages (e.g., Node, Java, Python, Bash, or similar) through coursework or personal projects
- Familiarity with distributed version control systems such as Git
- Interest in cloud technologies, particularly AWS services like ECS, EC2, & Lambda
- Willingness to learn Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- Curiosity about containerization (Docker) and modern CI/CD practices
- Awareness of security best practices and interest in learning about compliance standards (SOC 2)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and grow within a collaborative engineering environment

The total rewards expected for this role include:
