Your Role The Developer & Employee Experience Team serves at the direction of the Sr. Director of Technical Engineering, enabling BSC's journey to the cloud. ThePlatform Engineer, Principal, will report to the Sr. Manager of Technical Engineering. In this role you will design, build, and maintain Kubernetes and related technologies in service of our Internal Developer Platform (BlueStack), enabling operational excellence for Blue Shield of CA, our trading partners, and provider networks.
Your Knowledge and Experience - Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Requires 10 years of professional experience serving as a technical expert and thought leader in enterprise Platform development and operation
- Strong hands-on experience managing cloud environments in a heavily regulated, DevOps environment
- Proficiency in at least one relevant programming language (Python, C , Java, etc.) highly desired
- In depth knowledge of cloud hosting providers, including Microsoft Azure highly desired
- Current CKA Certification or equivalent knowledge highly desired
- Additional Kubernetes certifications strongly preferred
- Experience working in an agile development environment is strongly desired
- Experience working remotely is strongly desired
