Platform Engineer
This role is 12 months in length which could get extended. It is 100% remote within the US
-Duration: 12 months with the possibility of extension
-Open to nationwide candidates. This position can work 100% remote from anywhere in the continental U.S.

This position will be responsible for configuring, deploying, and maintaining data services capabilities, including Service Catalog EMR Clusters, GDC Sync Checkouts, EMR Clusters, Attunity Jobs, Informatica Servers, and Aurora databases.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills (At least 5 years)

• 5+ years demonstrated experience in a DBA role configuring and supporting a wide range of multiple database platforms (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server). (A MUST)

• Solid knowledge and understanding of multiple IT subject areas (e.g. development, configuration, deployment, testing, configuration, deployment, monitoring etc.).

• Solid knowledge and understanding of infrastructure technologies and application development methodologies.

• Solid knowledge and understanding of System Administration (configurations, installations, patch management, server maintenance, etc.) and Network Management (firewalls, proxies, IP management, routing, DNS).

• Knowledge and understanding of GitLab and Jenkins

• Solid knowledge and understanding of Bootstrap

• Demonstrated experience with AWS services, including, but not limited to KSM, Glue catalog, Athena, IAM, S3, Logging (EMR, EC2 & RDS)

• Demonstrated experience with Linux

• Knowledge and understanding of ETL

• Knowledge and understanding of Informatica (a plus)

• Solid knowledge and experience debugging, identifying root cause and solving of applications

• Solid knowledge and experience provisioning, upgrading, and tuning database services
