Key Responsibilities:

Platform Development & Engineering:
  1. Designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure IT platforms.
  2. Developing automation tools for infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance.
  3. Ensuring high availability and performance of platforms.
  4. Managing cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises infrastructure.
Infrastructure & Operations Management:
  1. Overseeing server, storage, and network operations.
  2. Managing operating systems (Linux, Windows) and virtualization platforms (VMware, Kubernetes).
  3. Implementing infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, etc.
  4. Handling incident response and troubleshooting platform-related issues.
Security & Compliance:
  1. Enforcing security policies and access controls.
  2. Implementing security best practices for platform infrastructure.
  3. Monitoring for vulnerabilities and applying patches/updates.
Observability & Performance Optimization:
  1. Setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, etc.).
  2. Conducting performance tuning and capacity planning.
  3. Analyzing system metrics to optimize platform efficiency.
Automation & DevOps Integration:
  1. Building CI/CD pipelines for seamless software deployment.
  2. Automating workflows to improve development and operations efficiency.
  3. Supporting microservices architecture and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Governance & Lifecycle Management:
  1. Managing platform versioning, upgrades, and end-of-life processes.
  2. Standardizing best practices for infrastructure and application deployment.
  3. Documenting platform archite cture and operational procedures.
Collaboration & Support:
  1. Working closely with software development, security, and IT operations teams.
  2. Supporting enterprise applications and ensuring platform stability.
  3. Providing technical guidance and training for teams using the platform.
