Enterprise fulfillment team which is part of Global Data Insights and Analytics (GDI&A) is looking for a Platform Data Engineer. Enterprise fulfillment team is responsible for creating and supporting purpose-built data products from GDI&A managed data which are securely accessed by or delivered to external facing applications and users according to approved specs
You will be part of technical team who drives strategy and sets the direction for the Enterprise Fulfillment team for creating data products.
Develop from concept to operations, providing technical subject matter expertise for successfully deployment of Data Platform Implement methods for automation of all parts of the pipeline to minimize labor in development and production.
Identify, develop, evaluate, and summarize Proof of Concepts to prove out solutions.
Work directly with product owner, business customers, architects to design, develop, test and deploy changes, leading software engineers in the same and creating a highly collaborative and motivated team culture.
Able to identify and deploy new tools and ways of working that enable the team to move faster / with greater agility.
Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to creatively solve problems and thrive when faced with new and unique challenges.
Design and build production data engineering solutions to deliver our pipeline patterns using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services:
BigQuery, DataFlow (Apache Beam), Pub/Sub, BigTable, Data Fusion, DataProc, Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow), Cloud SQL, Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, and App Engine, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Workflow, Astronomer.
Create Data pipelines into Google Cloud Platform
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Engineering or related technical field.
1+ years' experience in Cloud technologies & services, preferably GCP.
Familiarity with a scripting language like Python as well as Unix/Linux shells
Familiarity and prior experience with Agile / Scrum development methodologies
Experience in SonarQube, CICD, Tekton, terraform, GCS, GCP, Kubernetes etc.
Strong programming skills in java Spring boot development, designing and developing REST APIs and front-end development using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, Angular JS.
Strong experience with SQL and relational databases like Big Query, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server
Knowledge of different development and testing methodologies including TDD and BDD.
