DDI Platform Architect

Are you a platform engineering professional who understands how to build a roadmap for digital applications? Then our Digital Engineering team has the role for you. Working closely with the Platforms integration team to support the Digital Design Intelligence platform for a scalable Azure-based cloud platform. This design data management system sims to improve the quality of construction design / modelling and exploit the value of well-organised data.
Responsibilities include:
Architecture
- Architecture and framework design. Deployment of core components on Azure including; virtual machines, databases and networking.
- Develop guide rails, templates and reuseable frameworks.
- Use infrastructure as Code (Iac) tools for automated provisioning.
Automation & Development- Implement and automate pre-configured environments.
- Integrate DDI platform automation with CI / CD pipelines with tools like GitHub.
- Create onboarding documents, workflows and user guides.
Security & Compliance- Promote security best practice within the DDI platform.
- Establish and maintain automated compliance checks.
- Perform security assessments and audits.
Optimisation and Cost Management- Implement cost management procedures.
- Use performance metrics for user feedback for continuous improvement.
Collaboration and knowledge sharing- Serve as the DDI platform technical expert.
- Train technical support and developer teams on DDI tools.
- Provide tutorials, workshops and platform documentation.
The position will see you collaborate with several stakeholders which does mean time in the office is a priority. You will need to be able to get into the head office which is based in Dartford, Kent.
