About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: Plate Saw Operator
• Pay Rate Range: $20/Hour
• Location: Blaine, MN
• Schedule: 1st Shift, M-F, 6am - 2:30pm, O/T Required as Necessary.
• Position Type: Temp to Hire Plate Saw Operator Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent. Must have strong math skills and an ability to read tape measures and micrometers.
- Must have a valid driver license.
- Must be able to do moderate lifting, pushing, and pulling 50lbs.
- Previous plant work experience is desirable.
- Must be able to work overtime.
Plate Saw Operator Duties and Responsibilities:
- Order Fulfillment
- Identifying the correct inventory to cut the jobs
- Calculating the correct quantity of plate needed to complete the job
- Running all facets of cutting the order on the saws
- Finalizing the ticket in the ERP system
- Restocking drops after each job.
- Securely packaging all saw jobs after cutting for safe shipment to customers
- Organizing saw jobs by driver route for efficient loading of trucks (by drivers)
- Inventory Optimization
- Proactively working to optimize inventory locations to keep the efficient flow of material in our plant
- Inventory Counts
- Participation in accurately measuring and counting aluminum plate inventory as determined by management to fulfill financial obligations
- Occasionally load or unload incoming/outgoing materials
- Maintain safety and cleanliness of the warehouse
- Always keep floors trash/garbage free
- Other duties as assigned by shift supervisor
