As a member of the maintenance team, the Plant Plumber I performs a wide variety of skilled plumbing duties in the construction,
maintenance, repair and alteration of the facility. Plans and executes plumbing assignments including water, waste steam and other
condensate, compressed air fuel gas vacuum, sprinkler, chilled water and other specialized systems and ensures that all relevant
requirements, specifications and codes are met. The Plumber I also selects material, estimates time and material costs and provides
regular reports regarding assigned projects and jobs.

Estimated starting annual base salary is $41.00/ hour less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. Please note that the actual compensation offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined by the Company, which may include, but is not limited to, location, experience, qualifications, education, skillset, and market conditions. The target base compensation for this role is in the low to middle of the range, with the top of the range reserved for only exceptional circumstances. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary, variable annual incentive, paid based on Company performance factors. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, enhance and build plumbing and pipework throughout the facilities.
  • Plan and execute plumbing assignments in coordination with Maintenance team and management.
  • Select material and estimate time and material cost for assigned projects and jobs.
  • Continuously monitor plant plumbing and pipework and promptly address issues as they arise.
  • Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers of equipment regarding repairs and/or installations.
  • Maintain daily records of all related work and provide regular reports.
  • Setup and operate maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Support maintenance team and management with other projects and work orders as needed.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Formal accredited apprenticeship to plumber trade or equivalent.
  • Industrial plumbing experience with general knowledge of plumbing practices, tools, materials and methods.
  • Familiarity with pumps, pressure control valves, steam traps and flow monitoring gear.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, teamwork, organization and time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Trade school or equivalent diploma.
  • Experience with steam fitting and/or automatic fire sprinkler maintenance.
  • Familiarity with uniform plumbing code, uniform mechanical code and NFPA 13.
  • Prior food, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical industry experience.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires
standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or
move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral
vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
