As we scale, we're looking for a driven and experienced Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing facility and ensure best-in-class production, safety, quality, and efficiency.
Description
- Oversee all plant operations, including production planning, equipment maintenance, sanitation, quality assurance, and shipping/receiving
- Ensure compliance with all food safety (FDA, USDA, SQF, HACCP) and regulatory standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop department leads and hourly staff
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, R&D, QA, and Sales to meet demand planning and production goals
- Drive efficiency improvements and reduce operational costs through lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices
- Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with OSHA regulations
- Track KPIs and operational metrics (yield, throughput, downtime, labor cost, waste, etc.) and develop action plans to improve performance
- Manage capital projects, plant upgrades, and new line installations
- Foster a positive, high-performance plant culture rooted in accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning
Profile
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership/plant management role in the food & beverage industry
- Deep knowledge of food safety standards, GMP, HACCP, SQF/BRC, and OSHA
- Proven track record of leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methods
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, or related field (preferred)
