Plant Engineer - Columbus, OH

Role Overview
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the Plant Engineer will oversee the design, construction, modification, and maintenance of plant equipment. You will play a vital role in enhancing plant efficiency, integrating modern technologies, and resolving production challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve plant efficiency and upgrade equipment and technologies.
- Direct the maintenance and performance of machinery including reactors, distillation columns, scrubbers, boilers, and PLC-controlled systems.
- Support the reduction of bottlenecks and other production-related issues.
- Use AutoCAD for process modeling and simulation.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support production goals.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with industrial equipment and maintenance (4+ years preferred).
- Strong understanding of PLCs, mechanical systems, and industrial automation.
- Familiarity with standards such as NEC, ASME B31.3, NFPA, and Ohio Building Codes.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies (certification preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SharePoint experience preferred.

- Boilers and steam systems
- HVAC and compressed air/gas systems
- Electrical distribution and fire suppression systems
- Intrinsically safe and explosion-proof equipment
