Electrical Engineer - Plant Engineering

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver capital projects at production facilities across Northeast Ohio.
- Lead the electrical scope of projects including design, planning, documentation, equipment installation, and project management.
- Develop engineering solutions that enhance equipment reliability, reduce maintenance costs, and mitigate risk during planned outages.
- Maintain accurate and sustainable documentation for long-term engineering and maintenance use.
- Ensure designs support ISO 14001 standards and comply with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements.
- Provide project budgets and schedules while ensuring on-time and on-cost project delivery.
- Evaluate equipment proposals and verify specification alignment.
- Offer day-to-day technical support to production and maintenance teams.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as engineering, production, maintenance, and procurement.
- Interface with and manage third-party engineering and construction partners.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable safety and environmental regulations.
- Carry out other engineering-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 3+ years of professional experience.
- Strong initiative and ownership of tasks.
- Solid problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Strong safety awareness and good judgment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a production environment.
- Willingness to perform hands-on troubleshooting and work on the plant floor when necessary.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards such as NEC, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 79.
- Experience with 2D CAD tools; proficiency in AutoCAD and Vault is a plus.
- Willing to occasionally support off-shift operations and travel between local facilities as needed.
