The Plant Electrical Engineer provides technical expertise across various plant operations. This role focuses on heavy industrial equipment, conveyor systems, batch processes, and other equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative electrical solutions to support production capacity, quality, and operational goals.
- Supervise electrical work and personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Collaborate with contractors and internal engineering teams during equipment installation and upgrades.
- Evaluate new technologies and equipment to assess potential benefits to plant performance.
- Analyze and optimize plant electrical systems to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Lead or participate in root cause analysis efforts for equipment failures.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of maintenance procedures and best practices.
- Provide operational troubleshooting and support for ongoing electrical system issues.
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs in coordination with plant maintenance teams.
- Assist in the implementation of corporate capital projects by working closely with corporate engineering teams.
- Train plant operations and maintenance personnel on the proper use and troubleshooting of electrical systems specific to glass bottle manufacturing.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience with PLC programming
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing and producing working drawings for manufacturing systems
- Familiarity with Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs
- Previous experience with glass container manufacturing processes and equipment
- Background in preventive and predictive maintenance programs, including use of CMMS
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
