My client is seeking a Planning Lawyer for a contract position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing expert legal advice on planning matters
- Managing and leading on complex planning applications and appeals
- Advising local authorities and stakeholders on town planning law
- Preparing and reviewing legal documents, including planning agreements
- Representing clients in planning inquiries and hearings
- Ensuring compliance with relevant planning legislation and regulations
- Drafting and negotiating planning obligations and agreements
- Collaborating with planning officers, developers, and external consultants
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in town planning law
- Strong understanding of planning legislation and regulations
- Proven ability to manage complex planning cases and applications
- Excellent legal drafting and document review skills
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Qualified solicitor or barrister with relevant practising certificate
