We have two great opportunities for you to join us as either a Sewage Network or Sewage Treatment Planner, to help manage prioritisation of work programmes and projects for our sewerage network, consisting of over 2,000 sewage pumping stations, 398 water recycling centres, and around 35,000km of sewers.

What you do

As a Sewage Network or Sewage Treatment Planner, you will report to planning managers and help develop and manage the implementation of our 5-year investment plans for sewerage networks and sewage treatment.

The investment plans are split into:

  • enhancement programmes to improve the environment, customer service, and asset resilience
  • planned and reactive capital maintenance of above and below ground assets.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring project delivery and outputs to ensure value for money for Wessex Water and its customers
  • Producing detailed technical project briefs for optimal solutions
  • Assisting in the preparation of business plans and regulatory submissions
  • Coordinating data submissions and reporting to regulators
  • Representing the asset owner in review meetings to ensure technical and financial viability of projects
What you'll need

You should be proactive, able to work independently and within a team, and have significant water industry experience with knowledge of:

  • Sewerage networks, including design, hydraulic analysis, and modelling
  • Wastewater treatment processes, including design and hydraulic analysis

Additionally, you will need:

  • HND qualification or equivalent
  • Strong IT skills, including database design and analysis
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
