Organization Overview:

The Global Facilities Delivery (GFD) Organization, part of Corporate Engineering, delivers new and renovated capital assets around the world. Our mission is accomplished through a highly leveraged organization of design, construction, and qualification contractors.

Many of the assets delivered focus on manufacturing medical innovations and delivering innovative solutions to patients. Some of the assets delivered support an expansion in the supply of existing medicines.


Responsibilities:
The Planning and Scheduling Engineer is part of the global Project Controls organization and serves as the central process owner and subject matter expert for planning and scheduling GFD capital projects. Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain Project Delivery Work Instruction (PDWI), Best Practices (BP), and Resources (RS) related to planning and scheduling.
  • Partner with GFD project delivery teams to ensure consistent and proper use of planning and scheduling systems, processes, and resources.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with GFD standards and best practices.
  • Lead teams of planners and schedulers, ensuring compliance with Lilly Red Book and GFD standards.
  • Provide training on SoP, specifications, and Best Practices related to scheduling and progress measurement.
  • Lead schedule optimization and constructability exercises to enhance efficiency, quality, and reliability.
  • Maintain a database of schedule benchmarks.
  • Support the development of schedules and schedule risk assessments.

Basic Requirements:

  • BS in business management, finance, engineering, construction, or other related field, or equivalent experience.

    At least 5 years' experience in capital project planning, scheduling, and project controls.


Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Professional certification from a project control body such as RICS, AACE, or PMI.
  • Advanced experience implementing project planning, scheduling, and controls methods, techniques, and systems.
  • Advanced proficiency with project management and planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle Unifier, MS Project, Primavera P6, Primavera PowerBI/Tableau, etc.).
  • Capacity to achieve results and influence people.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-disciplined, motivated, and able to work with limited supervision.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is

$64,500 - $167,200

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
