Plaintiff Employment Law Attorney (Fully Remote - California)

One of our top clients is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Attorney to join our dynamic team on a fully remote basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled advocate passionate about protecting employees rights to work from the comfort of their California home.

Responsibilities


  • Manage a caseload of plaintiff-side employment law matters, including but not limited to:

    • Wrongful termination
    • Discrimination (race, gender, disability, etc.)
    • Harassment (sexual, racial, etc.)
    • Retaliation
    • Wage and hour violations
    • Leave law violations (FMLA, CFRA, etc.)

  • Conduct thorough client intakes and provide legal counsel.
  • Investigate and analyze factual and legal issues.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct and respond to discovery.
  • Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings (as needed).
  • Develop and execute litigation strategies.
  • Maintain excellent communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
  • Stay current on developments in California employment law.
  • Meet deadlines and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.

Qualifications


  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California is required.
  • 2-15 years of experience practicing plaintiff-side employment law in California.
  • Demonstrated strong litigation skills, including experience with discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation (trial experience is a plus).
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a remote caseload effectively.
  • Proficiency in legal case management software and other relevant technology for remote work.
  • A strong commitment to advocating for employee rights.
