Role: Lead the Operations team for a major client of TEOCO, that is using TEOCO's Smart Configuration Management (SmartCM) application for Mobile networks.
Activities:
- Interact with the Customer, TEOCO's Delivery and Product Engineering teams to plan and deploy SmartCM application on customer's environment. This can include new deployment, fixes and new version upgrades.
- Ensure daily operating processes ie. execution of batch jobs happen as planned.
- Ensure Ops team is doing proactive Monitoring: i.e. alerts and notifications are configured as required, are raised to TEOCO R&D or client contact as required, routine housekeeping activities are done, i.e. backing up, clearing of storage
- Maintain issue list and promptly provide updates to key stakeholders; ensure knowledgebase is updated regularly.
- Plan work roster of team members working in different shifts and allocate work accordingly
- Participate in status update calls with customer and internal stake-holders
- Coordinate with TEOCO's Product Engg team to (i) understand deployment instructions (ii) help Product Engg team in analyzing and debugging issues.
- Monitor operations for multiple clients, spanning time-zones from Southeast-Asia, Africa to Europe.
Note: The individual should be able to get the above work done by his team-members, and roll up his sleeves to work hands-on if required.
Experience required:
- Preferably should have worked in a similar role in daily IT operations
- Should be very good in Unix commands, writing and executing scripts
- Should have very conversant in Oracle PL/SQL
- Should have basic knowledge of protocols, ports, Unix permissions, text editors, keys and certificates for security
- Should have understanding of VM, containers, APIs, file-parsers and related utilities
- Desirable knowledge (nice to have)DBA experience on Oracle, including knowledge of system tables, tools for stats collection, analysis of AWR reports, sar reports
- Should have basic understanding of parameters that impact application performance, storage and common metrics that must be tracked regularly.
- Experience in using tools like RADOS for CEPH
- Experience in using monitoring tools for monitoring availability of CPU, Memory, Storage, IO, Network etc.

Qualification required:
- BTech in Comp Sc or BSc IT
- Relevant industry experience between 5-8 years
