Job Details Job Location: AAON Longview - Longview, TX Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $20.90 - $31.36 Hourly Job Shift: Day Description Job Summary: Designs, develops, creates facility drawings with AutoCAD. Responsibilities may include the following: Uses computer software (CAD) to design fabricated sheetmetal. Collaborates with Project Managers and Engineers to generate conceptual and construction documents to improve working environments for both office and factory facilities. Communicates with the Engineering team to develop design standards. Confers with engineering management to complete assigned projects. Provides complete bill of material by defining when, where, and why parts are used. Maintains and builds professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, or participating in professional societies. Travels, when necessary, for third party testing or product review at field test sites. Qualifications Education and Experience Requirements: Degree(s): None License(s): None Certification(s): None Two-year technical degree preferred. Minimum of 2+ years in Facility or Architectural drawings Must have proficiency with AutoCAD 2D: Paper Space/Model Space CAD file structure Drawing Scale including multiple within a project (like overall plans and enlargements) Layered External Referencing CAD Standards Files ( .dws) Annotative Objects Blocks and Groups Preferred skills or working knowledge: Wiring diagrams and electrical equipment symbols LISP Routines AutoCAD 3D or modelers (for manufacturer's model coordination) Unit conversions (like meters to Imperial, decimal to architectural, etc.) Essential Mental Functions: Communicates effectively in written and spoken form. Possesses excellent interpersonal relationship skills. Exhibits good decision making and analytical problem solving abilities. Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills. Ability to work independently without constant oversight. Works effectively in a team environment. Works effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment. Essential Physical Functions: Lift up to 50lbs. Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours. Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure.
