Daily Responsibilities for an APP Manager
The Advanced Practice Manager position will be responsible for providing leadership to assigned departmental Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRN) and Physician Assistants (PA), ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
The manager will be responsible for overseeing the competency, professional development, and education of the Advanced Practice Providers, aligning these efforts with the department s quality initiatives and goals.
The manager must demonstrate experience with continuous improvement as well as change management skills and fiscal stewardship. The Practice Manager will report to the appropriate Department Chair (or designee) and work collaboratively with nursing leaders, practice leadership, office managers, Division Chiefs, and physicians.
Requirements for Advance Practice Provider Manager
- Active Florida APRN Licensure and appropriate national certification
- AHA BLS and AHA PALS
- Must have at least 5 years of previous clinical ICU/Cardiac experience
- 3 years of progressive leadership experience preferred
