Job Summary: The Application Support Specialist for the PI Historian provides technical and operational support for the OSIsoft PI Historian, ensuring continuous, reliable, and secure real-time data collection, storage, and visualization to support power generation, industrial operations, and utility environments. This role focuses on system monitoring, troubleshooting, user support, and maintaining data integrations across critical operational systems, prioritizing the stability, performance, and usability of the PI Historian environment.

Job Responsibilities: - Monitor and support the daily operations of the OSIsoft PI Historian, including PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework (AF), and PI Vision.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to real-time data collection, system performance, connectivity, and user access.
- Maintain and support PI Interfaces, Connectors, and Integrators to ensure reliable ingestion of data from SCADA, DCS, and other control systems.
- Provide Tier 2/3 application support to users, including issue resolution, user training, and coordination with vendors as needed.
- Assist with updates and maintenance of PI AF models for organizing and contextualizing operational data.
- Build and maintain real-time dashboards and visualizations using PI Vision and PI ProcessBook.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices and NERC CIP requirements for historian systems.
- Maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and disaster recovery plans for PI Historian operations.
- Support regular backup, restore, and failover testing of PI Historian components.
- Collaborate with SCADA engineers, IT administrators, and application development teams to enhance data availability and system integration.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting OSIsoft PI Historian systems.
- Strong working knowledge of PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework (AF), PI Interfaces, and PI Vision.
- Experience integrating PI Historian with SCADA, DCS, and OT systems.
- Familiarity with NERC CIP standards and cybersecurity practices for operational environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced operational setting.
Other: - Must be able to pass federal background investigation and obtain a Public Trust.
- This position may require the ability to operate a government vehicle. The incumbent must be at least 18 years of age, able to obtain and maintain Defensive Drivers certification and have a valid state driver's license.
