Opening: Physician Specialty: General Surgery Position Type: Locum Tenens Facility: Inpatient Location: North Carolina Contract Length: May - June, 2025 Schedule: Specific dates, Call, night, weekend coverage May 2 (11a) - May 5 (11a) May 9 (11a) - May 12 (11a) May 23 (11a) - May 26 (11a) June 6 (11a) - June 9 (11a) June 20 (11a) - June 23 (11a) Details: Seeking a BC General Surgeon to provide weekend/night/call coverage for the full-time team. Inpatient only, call, nights & weekends Not required to remain on-site while on call Procedures required: Appendectomy, strangulated hernias, cholecystectomy, I&Ds, procedures that will be emergencies Avg patients/day/provider: 7-8 Avg admissions/day: 1-2 Avg admissions/night: 1-2 Surgical cases per month: 50 Does not respond to codes Does not backup the ER EMR is EPIC 114 bed hospital, Low volume ER (15 beds), 10 bed ICU New physicians will need to come in the day before scheduled shifts for orientation Credentials: NC license, BC in General Surgery Please contact a Medstaff Recruiter for more information about compensation, benefits, and travel specific to this position at or email
