General Surgery 24-Hour Call Coverage Locums Job in Central Florida Area Starting in July + Ongoing Jackson and Coker is partnered with a client located slightly south of Orlando that needs General Surgery 24-hour call coverage support starting in July and ongoing in 2025 due to a permanent opportunity becoming available. This coverage will be for two facilities, generally covering one facility at a time, however there might be short stretches of time that require you to cover both hospitals in tandem. Dates needed at Facility 2: Tuesday, July 1 at 7AM - Monday, July 7 at 7AM Saturday, July 12 at 7AM - Friday, July 18 at 7AM Dates needed Facility 1: Thursday, July 17 at 7AM - Monday, July 21 at 7AM (overlap on July 17-18, will cover at both locations) Facility 1: located less than 40 miles from Orlando/airport, Epic EMR, not a designated trauma center, 175+ bed facility Facility 2: located less than 40 miles from Orlando/airport, Epic EMR, not a designated trauma center, 120+ bed facility Facilities are located 22 miles apart from each other Details on Assignment : - Active Florida license + DEA required - Board Certification or true eligibility required - Will be covering 24-hour call coverage for the ED; Handling emergent procedures, completing daily patient rounding & tending to new consults - 7AM - 7AM start and end times - Must be able to complete an onsite Epic training prior to starting coverage - Can anticipate seeing between 7-11 patients per day on average at each facility (this includes all: seeing emergent/new consults, patient rounding & emergent procedures) - No
