Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide 24-hour on-call coverage for pediatric pulmonology services
Conduct in-person rounds and consultations from 8 AM to 5 PM
Handle 10-25 consultations per week while on call
Perform 1-2 bronchoscopies per week (with assistance from current providers if needed)
Respond to emergency calls and critical procedures as needed
Diagnose and treat complex pediatric respiratory conditions
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Communicate effectively with patients' families about care plans and progress
Be available for out-of-house call from 5 PM to 8 AM, except for critical procedures
Additional Information:
New York medical license required for this position
Strong experience in pediatric pulmonology and critical care is essential
Comfort with working independently during 24-hour shifts is crucial
