Part-Time Adult Psychiatrist Inpatient Locum Tenens Job in the California San Francisco Bay Area Details/Requirements: Starts ASAP x ongoing to cover a 16-bed locked adult MHRC inpatient program. Average 4 hours a week of onsite patient care and approximately four hours a week of call. They don t do a lot of admissions, minimum requirement is to see the patient and review treatment every 30 days, but the current Psychiatrist is seeing some patients once a week. Not every patient may need to be seen every week. All patients are chronic, seriously mentally ill. All adult ADC 16, stays full ALOS 12 months expected Hours: flexible and variable between 8am and 5pm, Monday-Friday. Call is 24/7 for any serious events. They involve psychiatrists regarding any interventions or medication issues. Calls could be after hours or on the weekend. Minimal calls. Approximately 4 hours of calls a week. It would be extremely rare for a doctor to be called back in to come onsite after scheduled hours, but in the rare event that ever happened the doctor would be paid overtime at 1.5 x the regular hourly rate. All calls taken remotely after scheduled hours on weekdays, weeknights, or weekends will be paid at the regular hourly rate. The County handles on call after hours for crisis patients who are referred to the local county hospital's psychiatric emergency services program whose doctors provide some after-hours support. Client has an E.H.R., so you must be computer savvy. Takes about a month or so for credentialing. Client prefers 3-month minimum assignments. Board Certification is preferred, not required.
