We are seeking a board-certified Podiatrist for a 24-day locum tenens assignment with a home health service based in Louisiana. This opportunity begins on 06/02/2025, and involves flexible scheduling between Monday and Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The podiatrist will provide mobile services, visiting homes and nursing facilities within a 2-hour radius. Responsibilities include routine nail maintenance, diabetic foot care, and treatment of various foot-related injuries and conditions. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with in-home and nursing home visits, and proficient in NextGen EMR. There is potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Perform routine nail maintenance, including trimming and treating ingrown nails

Provide comprehensive diabetic foot care, including treatment of ulcers and neuropathy

Treat foot-related injuries and conditions such as corns, calluses, and wounds

Conduct patient examinations and develop treatment plans

Educate patients on proper foot care and preventive measures

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals involved in patient care

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using NextGen EMR

Travel to patient homes and nursing facilities within a 2-hour radius

Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and company policies

Maintain a high standard of patient care and satisfaction

Participate in any required meetings or training sessions


Additional Information:

Must be a board-certified Podiatrist

Active Louisiana medical license required

Comfortable with mobile practice and in-home/nursing home visits

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
