The ideal candidate will be comfortable with all aspects of anatomic pathology, cytology, and clinical work, including GI, Breast, Prostate, and Stem Prep specimens. Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform comprehensive pathological examinations and diagnoses
Conduct grossing of specimens independently
Analyze and interpret anatomic pathology specimens of all types
Provide expertise in GI, Breast, Prostate, and Stem Prep pathology
Carry out cytological examinations and interpretations
Perform clinical pathology duties as required
Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate and timely diagnoses
Participate in multidisciplinary conferences as needed
Maintain accurate and detailed pathology reports using eClinicalWorks system
Adhere to all laboratory policies and procedures
Contribute to quality assurance and improvement initiatives
Stay current with advancements in pathology and laboratory medicine
Additional Information:
Maine state medical license required
Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology preferred
Experience with eClinicalWorks system is beneficial
