The ideal candidate will be comfortable with full-spectrum anatomic pathology, including surgical gastrointestinal (GI), genitourinary (GU), hematopathology, and non-gynecological cytology. Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform full-spectrum anatomic pathology services
Examine and interpret surgical pathology specimens, including GI and GU samples
Conduct hematopathology analyses
Evaluate non-gynecological cytology specimens
Prepare detailed and accurate pathology reports
Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, and other healthcare professionals
Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinical conferences
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Epic EHR system
Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
Ensure timely turnaround of pathology results
Stay updated on the latest advancements in pathology techniques and practices
Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
Additional Information:
Must be licensed to practice medicine in Kentucky
Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred
Strong expertise in surgical pathology, hematopathology, and cytology
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Excellent communication skills for conveying complex pathology findings
