We are seeking a skilled Pathologist for a locum tenens position at a Hospital in Kentucky. This 60-day assignment starts on 05/05/2025, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with full-spectrum anatomic pathology, including surgical gastrointestinal (GI), genitourinary (GU), hematopathology, and non-gynecological cytology. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital environment, providing comprehensive pathology services to support accurate diagnoses and patient care. The pathologist will be responsible for examining tissue samples, interpreting results, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Job Details: Location: Kentucky Facility Type: Hospital Start Date: 05/05/2025 LOA: 60 days Provider Type Needed: Pathologist Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM Job Responsibilities and Duties: Perform full-spectrum anatomic pathology services Examine and interpret surgical pathology specimens, including GI and GU samples Conduct hematopathology analyses Evaluate non-gynecological cytology specimens Prepare detailed and accurate pathology reports Collaborate with surgeons, oncologists, and other healthcare professionals Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinical conferences Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Epic EHR system Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols Ensure timely turnaround of pathology results Stay updated on the latest advancements in pathology techniques and practices Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives Additional Information: Must be licensed to practice medicine in Kentucky Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred Strong expertise in surgical pathology, hematopathology, and cytology Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Excellent communication skills for conveying complex pathology findings Flexibility to adapt to the hospital's specific pathology needs Possibility of assignment extension beyond the initial 60 days Apply now to learn more.
