We are seeking a board-certified Pathologist for a 40-day locum tenens assignment at a Laboratory / Diagnostic Center in Arkansas. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with general pathology, including frozen sections, non-gynecological cytology, pap smears, and bone marrow examinations. This opportunity begins on 07/01/2025, and involves working Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. The pathologist will be responsible for providing comprehensive pathology services, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and ensuring accurate and timely diagnoses. There is potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Perform general pathology services, including frozen sections, non-gynecological cytology, pap smears, and bone marrow examinations

Analyze tissue samples and laboratory tests to provide accurate diagnoses

Interpret results and prepare detailed pathology reports

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care

Maintain accurate and complete medical records

Adhere to laboratory policies, procedures, and quality control standards

Participate in any required meetings or training sessions

Stay current with advancements in pathology and laboratory medicine


Additional Information:

Must be board-certified in Pathology

Active Arkansas medical license required

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
