Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide 24-hour on-call orthopedic surgery coverage for the ER
Manage and treat fractures, dislocations, and other orthopedic emergencies
Perform general orthopedic procedures, including knee, hip, shoulder, and elbow surgeries
Conduct follow-up care for patients in the clinic during weekday mornings
Utilize fluoroscopy for diagnostic and treatment purposes
Collaborate with ER staff and other healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Cerner EMR system
Ensure compliance with all relevant medical and ethical guidelines
Adapt to the needs of a trauma facility
Participate in the hospital's trauma response system
Stay updated on current orthopedic surgery practices and techniques
Additional Information:
Must be licensed to practice medicine in California
California temporary fluoroscopy license required (or willingness to obtain immediately)
Experience in trauma orthopedics and general orthopedic procedures essential
