A multi-specialty healthcare group in New York City is actively seeking a Cantonese and/or Mandarin-speaking licensedGastroenterologist to join one of their practices in Manhattan.

Responsibilities: TheGastroenterologistwill:
•  Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and chronic diseases and conditions
•  Prescribing or administering medications, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
•  Explaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients
•  Monitoring patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluating treatments, as necessary
•  Providing health and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention
•  Maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test results
•  Referring patients to other medical specialists, when necessary
•  Providing compassionate and empathetic support and advice to patients regarding their health concerns
•  Preparing official health documents or records, when necessary
•  Participating in network activities such as Provider meetings, Grand Rounds, and training sessions
•  Performing other related duties, as assigned Qualifications:
•  Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York
•  Completion of Internal Residency
•  Board Certified inGastroenterology
•  Bilingual (English and Cantonese or Mandarin)
•  DEA license
•  Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) Desired Skills:
•  3+ years ofGastroenterology experience
