Neonatologist Physician Locums Job in Arizona Seeking Full-Time or Part-Time Coverage ASAP Start and Ongoing Assignment
Coverage Needs:
ASAP start and ongoing
Monday - Sunday, 7-10 consecutive days
o 8:30am-2pm: in-house, rounding on 15 semi-ICU babies, writing notes, helping with admissions to NICU, attending high-risk deliveries, assisting with consults
o 2pm-5pm: BREAK
o 5pm-8am: night call (unrestricted) from home (50% chance call back to facility).
Assignment Details/Requirements:
NICU Level IV
NNP admits after hours and will discuss the patient over the phone. The attending on call will have to come in if less than 28 weeks premature baby. Any cardiac baby/neurosurgical/unit babies that are critical require night attending to come into facility.
Blue attending will take nighttime incoming transport calls and arrange for transport and admission (red attending takes day incoming transport calls)
There are 38 NICU beds. Average number of hospital patients per physician per day is 15 for NICU
Responding to in-house codes are for neonatology patients only.
We can get transfers from other lower facility hospitals that need higher level of care.
The average daily census is 30 to 35.
There is always a nurse practitioner or 2 and a senior resident in-house at night.
Must have an active Arizona license or an Active IMLC and can get license in 1-2 weeks. Will not look at candidates who do not meet this criteria.
Must be Neonatal board certified and have NRP certification
