A Corrections facility is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage. The facility is located in Dilwyn, Virginia. The position requires a two-week credentialing timeframe and offers a schedule of Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The facility operates during these hours, and they are willing to consider only MD candidates. There is no call involved in the role. The physician will see an average of 18-20 adult patients per day. Required certifications include a VA license and DEA registration. The support staff consists of RNs and LPNs, and the facility uses paper records, with Sapphire for prescriptions. There are no specific requirements for COVID or flu vaccination.
