Physician / Internal Medicine

A Geriatrics facility is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage. The facilities are located in Courtland, Waverly, Emporia, Warsaw, and West Point, VA. This position offers coverage at 5 facilities, with credentialing completed in 1-2 weeks. Providers will visit one facility per day, seeing 10-15 geriatric patients for new admissions. The role can accommodate a full-time physician covering all locations or multiple part-time physicians. MDs only; no call is required. Candidates must hold a VA license, DEA, and be BC/BE in FM or IM. COVID or flu vaccination is required. Facilities are supported by NPs, a Director of Nursing, admin staff, LPNs, and CNAs. The EMR systems used are PointClickCare and GeriMed.
