The VA Northern California Healthcare System is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as the Pain Section Chief in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Service. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to oversee and guide the Interventional Pain and Chronic Pain programs, while providing administrative leadership, clinical management, and strategic direction to a dedicated team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of clinical expertise, leadership, and organizational skills, with a commitment to improving patient care and optimizing healthcare systems. As the Pain Section Chief, you will be responsible for staff management, business planning, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care, while also working collaboratively with senior leadership and other healthcare teams. Additional Requirement: - Primary Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehab, with sub-specialty certified in Pain Medicine.
Preferred Experience:- Completion of an accredited Pain fellowship.
- Experience in the evaluation and management of complex Pain conditions, including advanced interventional pain management procedures and ideally neuromodulation, as well as related VHA Opioid Pain Management.
INCENTIVES: Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) offers up to
$200,000 over 5-years, tax-free and/or Recruitment Incentive with minimum 3-year service obligation. Recruitment/Relocation may be authorized for highly qualified candidates.
Salary $275,000 - $330,000 per yearWork Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM
