You will perform essential duties and responsibilities of a Primary Care Physician providing quality care to patients of all ages. Obtain health history and perform exam to determine and execute a diagnosis and treatment plan.
Qualifications
Medical Degree
Oregon Medical License
Board Certified preferred
Extensive experience working in an integrated healthcare setting.
Primary Responsibilities
Provides primary clinical care, including urgent and chronic care, orders and performs tests and treatment required, provides education for patients/families.
Performs history taking, physical examination, diagnosis, and therapeutic treatment planning.
Reviews and assess the patient medical history, including healthy habits and disease history. Includes basic principles of a healthy lifestyle and health risk reduction with patient encounters, orders diagnostic testing as indicated.
Interprets results of diagnostic testing and plans appropriate follow-up with individual patients, with consideration given for their physical, emotional and financial resources.
Prescribes medications accordingly as indicated; administers medications and injections accordingly. Responds to requests for medication refills in a timely manner.
Applies sound judgment and skill in emergency situations.
Demonstrates respect and sensitivity to cultural/social differences in interactions with others.
Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Includes basic principles of healthy lifestyle and health risk reduction with patient encounter.
Makes referrals to specialists and community resources as necessary.
Ensures appropriate follow-up of patients seen.
Meets and promotes organizational standards for excellence in service for patients, staff and physicians.
Participates in the development of clinic practice standards.
Serves as a consultant and provides guidance for mid-level practitioners regarding practice issues.
Maintains a complete and legible medical record, to include timely documentation of each patient visit.
Meets all mandatory education requirements and participates in continuing education for professional growth.
Maintains professional affiliations.
Attends all required staff meetings. Participates in Peer Review
Develops and maintains working relationships with the medical community.
Ability to work as a member of a team.
Follows blood born pathogen exposure control plan guidelines and bodily fluid precautions.
Promote a Culture of Safety; reporting hazards, errors and potential patient safety issues
