The Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks (VHSO) is seeking an experienced physician leader to serve as Chief of Staff (COS) in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Position Highlights:
- Salary range: $250,000 - $375,000
- Relocation assistance is authorized
- Recruitment/relocation incentive may be authorized
- Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- CME reimbursement: Up to $1,000 per year (for full-time board-certified physicians)
- Malpractice coverage provided, including free liability protection with tail coverage
- No physician employment contract and no significant moonlighting restrictions
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a senior leader, ensuring high-quality patient care and operational excellence
- Oversee medical staff recruitment, compliance, and development.
- Foster strong relationships with academic affiliates, research initiatives, and community partners.
- Promote a culture of continuous process improvement and patient safety.
- Act as a key liaison between the VA, federal agencies, and external stakeholders.
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum of two years as a Chief of Staff or Deputy Chief of Staff in a VHA Health Care System.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with facility and VISN leadership.
- Experience overseeing interdisciplinary programs across diverse populations.
- Demonstrated success in strategic planning and performance improvement.
- Board certification preferred.
